Sound Tree Rings – Test Documentation

This video is a conceptual video documentation of Sound Tree Ring made with Paul Jacobs (UCSB MAT).

I think it would be great to project pre-rendered tree ring animations on the wall as shown in floor plans above. The tree rings can be created on top of wood background, or just a white background in black lines. I personally prefer the white background because it’s much more interesting to focus on detailed black line shapes. And a mobile device (iPhone or iPad) can be in the gallery, so audience can explore their own sound and create their own sound tree rings.
